Step-by-Step: How to Process a MOTO Payment
1. Process the Sale in POS
- Build the basket in OneView as normal
- Go to the payment screen
- Pause before selecting a payment method
2. Process Payment on the Adyen Terminal (Highlight this is for till point card terminals only, not S1F2 mobile PDQS)
a. Access MOTO Menu
- Press
8, then quickly press the green button (✔️)
b. Select Transaction Type
- Choose “New Transaction”
c. Enter Passcode
- Input the MOTO passcode (ask your store manager if unsure)
d. Select “MOTO Payment”
e. Enter the Following:
- Transaction Amount
- Card Number
- Expiry Date (MMYY)
- Security Code (CVV)
- Postal Code
- House Number
3. Review the AVS Code (Address verification Service)
After submitting the card details, the terminal will return an AVS result onscreen where you are able to accept by pressing the green button on the keypad or red to cancel the transaction. The result will state the below results and will automatically approve in a short amount of time:

Tip: Proceed only if you receive a match on address & postcode, or both.
Warning: Be cautious with mismatches — consider rechecking details or declining the transaction.
Finalise in POS
- Go back to the POS
- Select “Cash” as the payment type to close the sale. This marks the transaction as paid, even though payment was handled separately via MOTO.
After the Sale
- Print/ Email to send the POS receipt to the customer as needed
