PART 1
Part 1 consists of TWO tasks that need to be completed in the below order:
- Create a store specific Apple ID
- Contacting Datascan to change ownership of iPad
a. Create a store specific Apple ID
You are required to create a store specific Apple ID relevant to your store. To do this follow the below steps:
- Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account
- A form will appear asking you to Create your Apple ID. Fill in the following details as shown below:
- First name: Molton
- Last name: Brown
- Country/ Region: United Kingdom
- Birthday: 01/01/1971
e. Email: store email account
• Please refer to COLUMN A in the ‘iPad - Apple ID And MDM Email Details’ excel document in the email to ensure you use the correct email address.
f. Password: Molton01
g. Confirm Password h. Phone number: Store telephone number
- SAS & Outlets - enter your store telephone number
- Concessions – enter your personal mobile number (the telephone number will only be used for the verification purposes and it can be changed after you have created the Apple ID. If you are not happy with using your personal number please contact your Area Manager)
- Verify with: Phone call
- Untick: Announcements, Apps, Music, TV, and More, Apple News Newsletter
- Type verification code (from image)
3. Click “Continue”
4. Verify your email address to create your new Apple ID.
- A code will be sent to your store email address with the subject “Verify your Apple ID email address”. Enter the code on the email in the webpage and click continue.
- Apple will automatically call the store phone number to issue an apple verification code. Please enter this code into the web browser.
You have now created a store specific Apple ID. If you need to change any of the information/ passwords at any point, please sign in at https://www.icloud.com/ using the account log in details you just created. This will be the account you need to sign into your iPad with.
b. Contacting Datascan to change ownership of iPad
Now that you have created your store specific Apple ID, you will need to contact Datascan to change the ownership of the iPad to your store Apple ID. Currently the iPads are under a Datascan Apple ID. To do this follow the below steps:
- Email Datascan at help@datascanretail.co.uk
- Subject – iPad - Your Store Name
- Body Of The Email – Your Apple ID log in details, the day you would like him to contact you and the person to ask for when he calls
- Please ensure you note down the
- Datascan will call on your selected day and ask for the person specified to talk them through how to change ownership of the iPad. This process should not take longer than 15 minutes to complete.
PART 2
NOTE
- PART 2 CANNOT BE COMPLETED UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED PART 1

Part 2 consists of TWO tasks that need to be completed in the below order.
- Download the ‘Intune Company’ app
- Enrolling the iPad to the Kao Management System
- Go to the AppStore
2. You may need to enter your Apple ID password
3. Search for ‘Intune Company App’
4. Select ‘Get’ to download the app onto the iPad
Now you have downloaded the app please move onto part b on the next page.
b. Enrolling the iPad to the Kao Management System
Once you have downloaded the app you will then need to enroll you iPad onto the Kao Management System.
NOTE – IN THIS SECTION YOU ARE REQUIRED TO USE TWO DIFFERENT EMAIL ADDRESSES TO ENROLL THE IPAD. IN STEPS 3 AND 5 IT WILL SPECIFICALLY STATE WHICH EMAIL ADDRESS TO USE AND YOU MUST REFER TO THE ‘IPAD – APPLE ID AND MDM EMAIL DETAILS EXCEL DOCUMENT’.
To do this follow the below steps:
- Open the ‘Intune Company App’
- The app will take you to a Microsoft Intune sign in page
- Enter your store email address and select next
- Please refer to COLUMN B in the ‘iPad - Apple ID And MDM Email Details’ excel document in the email to ensure you use the correct email address.
4. You will be taken to the sts.kao.com sign in page similar to how you will log into your email accounts on office 365.
- Please refer to COLUMN B in the ‘iPad - Apple ID And MDM Email Details’ excel document in the email to ensure you use the correct email address.
5. Enter your username and password

- Please refer to COLUMN C in the ‘iPad - Apple ID And MDM Email Details’ excel document in the email to ensure you use the correct email address for username.
- The password will the password to access your email
6. Once you signed in, review the information and tap Begin to continue.
7. The application will show you what Kao can and can’t see on the device. Tap Continue to proceed.
8. Tap allow to download the profile on your device.
9. Once the profile is downloaded please close the pop-up. Open Settings and tap Profile downloaded to start installing the profile.
10. A message to install the profile will appear, this is required for Intune Company app to access the device. Tap Install in the top-right corner
11. Now enter your device passcode to proceed.
12. Please tap Install, Install, Trust in the following pages.
13. Once the Management Profile has installed, tap Done to continue.
14. Once the profile has installed, open the Intune Company App’ and top Continue now to complete the enrolment of your iPad to the Kao Management System.
15. You will receive the below page and tap Continue.
16. After you will see the following page. This might take some time to confirm the device settings.
17. Once the Device settings are confirmed, you will receive the below page and tap Done.
18. When Device enrolment is complete, the ‘Intune Company App’ will show you all available apps, all of the devices you have connected to Intune, the support options and notifications.
19. Click Ok and Allow to receive the important Notifications in the respective pages.
20. Your enrolment is now complete
